Well, not quite. As much as we're total suckers for mega-events such as this one, there is a certain uncertainty as to how all this madness will effect our daily lives for the next 30 days or so. And when you combine insanely great weather with the biggest spectator sport in the world, the urge to rent a film possibly approaches 0:0.
So, we've decided to take preEMptive measures to keep the ball rolling (snicker):
As a special EMpathic incentive for all those who like to wash down a good game with a good film and those who simply could not care less about 22 guys chasing a ball for 90 minutes or more, we've got a real, erm, kicker: we're doing our very own Unofficial Euro Film Affair throughout the month of June!
Every day we will focus on the countries playing each other, starting with Switzerland, Portugal, Czech Republic and Turkey on June 7th, and all films in the corresponding sections of our foreign language area will be half price on that day and overnight!
And on the last days of June, right after the final game of the tournament, all films by the winning country will be absolutely free! (We're rooting for Greece. Or Romania.)
